How could I have known,
That the B’s were on at eight
As I stepped out of my palace gate
All I could think was damn I’m late
…I went on a stupid date?

How could I have known,
This was the best game of the season
And seriously I have no reason
Although I didn’t see the B’s win

How could I have known,
That the B’s were playing the Habs
So I missed Chara throwing some jabs
At least I’m not paying for any cabs
