it's time
what you've been waiting for
training for
nervous
tummy turning
hearts beating
fast
feet on the blocks
or feet on the track
“on your mark”
“get set”
“BOOM”
fast
go
adrenalin rush
placing one foot
and then the next
creating a pattern
a beat
one
two
one
two
breath
sweat
go
faster faster
quick quick quick
muscles moving
working hard
don't slow down
work through the pain
three miles
or two
one lap
or just a straight away
speed up
sprint to the end
go go go
leave it all out there
on the track
on the course
you can do it
go
finished
heavy breathing
cool down
relax
done
success
