Our Story

My heart is as cold as the black hole in your chest.
As you stand miles away from me, I never run back.
The bright lightening struck strong,
But there was no thunder that returned.
You were born wanting commitment,
When I wanted to soar.

Our love was passionate like the burning sun.
Now the clouds have come and all is done.
Everything that we worked for,
Is now in shattered pieces.
They make up a mosaic window,
That now hangs in the shadows.

The parts of our story now cut like a knife.
They engrave your name into my heart.
The scars I left behind are now blatant on you,
And we will always be separated by the faint memory of a fairy tale.
