That Warm Summer Night

I remember that warm summer night.
Like a rumbling volcano ready to erupt,
Ready to cause massive destruction,
It finally happened.
The lies.
The fights.
The heartache.
I couldn’t understand why you did it,
And neither could they.
He shouts. You shout.
The door slams.
The call is made.
You left me all alone.
On that warm summer night.
