Victoria Suber

Ode to Bee

Peaceful and patient hard workers they are.
A slight disturbance may bring disruption.
Tread with caution wandering near or far,
And do not seek any confrontation.
An intruder’s silence may mask their threat
But the queen is alarmed and sends her fleet,
Who shall fight to the death, leaving no one spared,
With strict allegiance a bee can’t forget,
Kept to their graves: to protect the elite.
This vow sustained, which new soldiers declared.
