The Man Who Sold the World

Once I knew a man a long long time ago
He seemed nice but you would never know
He was the man who sold the world

He would always talk lies
Some would never advise
He was the man who sold the world

We would give him our hands in trust
Promised to never steal if he must
He was the man who sold the world

He was the hand that fed
But that was the only thing ever said
He was the man who sold the world

How he lays in a field of flowers
Restrained from his proclaimed powers
He was the man who sold the world
He was the man who sold the world
