Where am I?

Where am I in this world?
For I am utterly lost
My eyes can’t walk and
My feet can’t see.
Who are these holograms
That infest the streets?
Do they have the feelings,
The kindness or the respect?
No, rather they have an inferno that
Consumes their eyes from the inside.
Who lit these matches?
Was it envy or was it greed?

I don’t understand these robots’ logic
Absorbed on one idea, one mindset.
Are they really this ignorant of others?
Not caring for the disease, the famine,
The suffering of their brothers?
They can no longer love
They can no longer hate
They are a child who cannot appreciate
Am I living in a mindless society
Stained by the growing technology
That does more harm than help?
Why then, am I in this world?
