Sameera Chippada

Rainbow

Clouds fade away,
Thin into nothingness
A sliver of light blue
Peeks out from behind
As the heavens brighten
And strips of color
Fill the vast, empty skies

Arcs of beauty,
An expressive rainbow
A reward presented
For enduring the rain,
The droplets of water,
The dark, cloudy air

Once these painful sights have passed
Look up at the sky
Enjoy the charming vibrancy
The rain has come
And the rain has gone
The rainbow is here at last.
