Eli Ruben

My Corner

A player comes over
He is now in my corner
I let him know it

I give him a bump
Then an all out shove away
He comes back for more

But the puck is mine
He cannot take it from me
I will keep it here.

Wait just one second
Someone is calling for it
I send it flying

Up the ice it goes
Right off the tape of my stick
My teammate catches it

He goes in alone
Takes on two defensemen solo
And scores a sweet goal

So now you’ve been warned
Don’t come into my corner
Because you will leave

Without any pride.
