Dear Dad

Everyday I am grateful,

To have you as my father.

Though you are busy, time is made for me,

And I know I am not a bother.

Growing up, preserving my happiness,

And wiping my tears.

Was a job you fulfilled,

As you took away my fears.

Playing games and reading me books,

Was always important to you.

And now that I’ve matured,

I realize it was to me too.

With my ignorance vanished,

I now must confess

That “Daddy’s Little Girl”

Is a title I am proud to possess.
