Cardboard Dreams

You are ten, a box is a box,
You make a project with it,
Or just fill it with socks.

You are four, in a castle grand,
You bravely slayed the dragon,
The box holds the ruler of the land.

You are five, exploring space,
An astronaut orbiting Mars,
The box is a celestial place.

You are six, on the high seas,
A pirate in search of gold,
The wind in the blanket, box at full speed.

But you are ten, a box, a box,
Little imagination left,
You just fill it with socks.
