Listening to Walls

If walls could talk,
What would we hear?

The hate?
The anger?
The resentment?
The fear?

Or the love?
The joy?
The affection?
The cheer?

All we do is talk.
Me, myself and I.
Not listening,
Not caring.

But if we did listen.
But if we did care.
What would we know?
What would we hear?

Am I a wall to you?
