Being 5

The highway jammed with big wheels
You force your way in and around the
others.
Speeding up
then jamming on the breaks.
You are the best of them all.
Screeeeeeeachh
You slam into the wall!
Shaking your head
you recover
and you’re off again,
Oh no, a red light!
Skidding across the concrete
You come to a stop just in time.

What’s that you hear?
Something from the world above?
Snack time?
Leaving the streets behind, you climb the stairs
in search of your treasure,
A juice box and crackers.
