Procrastination

I get home from school and go to my room,
As I take out my assignment book,
All I feel is impending doom.

The house is silent, it’s quite a bore.
The quiet is getting to me;

It’s enough to make me snore.

Trying to decide what is a priority,
Is an extremely difficult task.
Should homework come first or be the minority?

With at least four hours of homework left,
It does not just suck up all my time...
It is borderline theft.

My eyelids are getting heavier and heavier,
The page in front of me is beginning to blur,
My focus is not getting any steadier.

My decision has been made,
I’m grumpy and tired from my day,
So chances of getting a good homework grade will fade.
