Innocent and Pure, What We Were Before

We were all once born pure and innocent as an angel with wings
Until greed and jealousy controlled us like puppets on strings
Then that brought on monstrosities like war and corruption occurred
People spoke with different tongues but all was darkened till something stirred

How will our current selves return to the past?
Our time for salvation and protection is shortening to last
We’ll be the Pandora’s box with the small piece of hope in the jar
Hoping, dreaming, wishing for peace that heals our battle scars.

Naturally we’re wanting something that we can’t obtain
Shackled to the world by these unbreakable chains
We stand for what we believe in and we always will
Together with our friends and family forever till time sits still

No matter what we decide to do we’ll strive for the best
Thinking, trying, and working till the end with no rest
We want the shining future to be final goal
So forever we’ll walk forward to a pure soul
