Night Not Known

The sky is as dark as ink,
Enveloping the world is a midnight blanket.
The crisp sweet breeze floats swiftly by,
Swirling playfully with leaves along for the ride.
Deafening silence rings out,
Sounding as the world slumbers without a care.
Brillant stars twinkle invitingly,
Beckening those who gaze to discover their secrets.
Dreams come alive from within the soul,
Revealing the wild fantasies hidden from awareness.
Light streaks across the heavens,
Allowing those who believe to wish for the better.
