Joys Of Winter

As he stands in the middle of a frozen pond

He sees snow as white as a wedding dress,

Ice black like a car tire.

Kids are playing and skating away,

The snow from the sky falls like little helicopters,

they fly through the air and onto my tongue,

Disintegrating like sugar in a cup of coffee.

Why do you go so soon?

The cold snow is above them

They put the last block on

The sunlight disappears

The shovels are removed

It collapses

The cold snow now below them

They dig their way out

Why do you go so soon?

Joys of winter
