Another Day

Just another day on the job,

Teaching kids to swim and “bob.”

I’m a swim teacher and a lifeguard,

It’s lots of fun, and not too hard.

Teaching children to swim can be fun,

But after about three hours I’m ready to be done.

To pass or fail, it’s the week five debate,

I better make a decision, I can’t turn them in late!

Watching the pool can be so boring,

But I’d rather be here than at home snoring.

It isn’t hard until someone goes under,

It’s never happened to me, but I do always wonder.

I love my job, as you can see,

And I’m so glad that Hayden hired me

because there’s no place that I’d rather be,

Not even at home, watching TV.
