My Oasis

The salty sea airs whips across the face,
And lingers on the lips.
Stinging salt sensation left in my mouth.
Calming sound of the crashing waves brings peace with my surroundings and myself.
Birds sing and dance across the blue crystal clear sky.
Water is icy cold like the Tundra, but it feels warm against my sandy, sparkling feet.
Aroma of seaweed and fresh air cleanses my soul.
A cold tingling feeling rushes through my body as I plunge into the waves like a dolphin.
Floating in the current and letting the waves take me, relaxes my mind and frees me of my worries.
Looking out at the endless blue ocean gives me a sense of curiosity by not knowing what’s lurking out in the water.
The nature’s beauty of unique shells and vibrant sea glass reminds me how outstanding this place is.
Walking along the forever-stretching beach, the sun smiles down casting comforting heat onto my body reassuring me that I am one with nature.
