Shrunk

Lily I deeply apologize,
for that navy blouse with the ties.
I guess I must have failed to see,
that little tag reading “Don’t dry me!”
For when I bent down to pull it out,
a loud shout escaped my mouth.
In knots were the ties,
and your blouse, half the size.
I know it was your favorite,
it was wrong for me to take it.
But the fabric was soft and shimmery.
Not to mention, it looked quite good on me.
