Procrastinator’s Lament

I put off for tomorrow
What I could’ve done today.
It’s not my fault I procrastinate
Much to your dismay.

I didn’t have time for this poem,
I had an essay to write.
Whatever you say about karma,
It won’t come back to bite.

It’s not my fault I have a life,
And don’t live under a rock.
I hung out with friends last night,
And wrote this in study last block.

I think this poem will suffice,
So please don’t be mad at me.
Life is just a tad too short
To waste on poetry.
