A Teenager

An age meant for maturity that one couldn’t handle.

Something anticipated for so long.

13 years of childhood, gone so fast.

And a little more say in your life.

An age that finally has a “teen” attached at the end

No more baby-sitting and overprotection from parents.

First year of PG-13 movies

A sense of responsibility.

An age for more freedom

But not that much.

First year of middle school

A feeling of an adult.

But what is yet to come is the age of 18.
